Safeguard Engineering Inc. is a small Ontario practice built around pre-start reviews, machine safeguarding and combustible dust work. The engineers who scope your project are the ones who attend site and seal the report.
Between us we have spent a long time on the receiving end of engineering reports that were technically correct and practically useless. Pages of clause citations, a table of findings with no ranking, and a maintenance team left to work out what any of it meant on Monday morning.
We set SGE up to do the opposite. Every finding names the clause, the measured condition, the specific corrective measure and who typically owns it. If a member of your joint health and safety committee cannot read the report and understand what has to change, we have not finished writing it.
You hear the critical items on site the same day, so remediation can start while the contractor is still on the floor.
Guard openings, reach distances, stopping performance and safety distances are measured on site and shown in the report.
Quoted before we mobilise. If the scope changes on site, you approve it before it is billed.
We can design the guard, the interlock and the panel, but we do not sell you the hardware. Independence is the whole product.
Based in Eastern Ontario and on site province wide, from Windsor through the Golden Horseshoe to Ottawa and northern operations.
Shutdown windows, weekend installs and night commissioning. We work when the line is down, because that is when it matters.
Send drawings or photographs and we will tell you plainly whether a review is required, before any fee is discussed. We work across all of Ontario.
